We found a company, placed our order, and two weeks later got our Team Losi Da Bomb yo-yo -- which to this day is still one of our favorites. We were happy with our Internet purchase, but we thought several weeks was an awfully long time to wait for an order. In today's age of data processing and overnight shipping, we figured we should receive it sooner. Not long afterwards, we decided we wanted to sell yo-yos in our baseball and comic book store, Igor's Dugout. My business partner and lifelong friend Don and I were old yo-yo enthusiasts, but all that was available in our area were just a few different brands. In our process of researching the companies and how to buy from them, we found that the prices we had seen on the net, and what I paid for my Da Bomb, were in fact the Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price or higher. Wait a minute, we thought, things are supposed to be cheaper on the net! So Yoyoplay.com was created! Don and I called up Lars, an old friend, fellow yo enthusiast and web guru. He liked the idea, and the rest is, well, history.
